Three instructors will share best practices for teaching in the K-12 health classroom. Tia Saxon, MOAHPERD Health Chair-Elect will share a strategy that she implemented in her classroom to increase students’ focus on objectives and improve overall understanding and comprehension of material. Then, Gina McNeese, the Northwest District Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the year will share some of her favorite games/activities that she has found to be successful at numerous grade levels. Finally, Dr. Marilyn Grechus, author of the book Innovative Tools for Health Education will share some of her favorite ideas for teaching health education.
