Supporting Student Success-Alliance Healthy Schools Program

Every day 95% of school aged kids and teens attend school. Aside from home it is the place where kids spend most of there time. The Alliance for a Healthier Geneartion (the Alliance) works to empower kids to develop lifelong healthy habits by ensuring the environments that surrond them provide and promote good health. The Allaince's Healthy Schools Program helps to create and sustain healthy environments where students, especially those in greatest need, can learn more and flourish. We are an evidence based initiative that creates sustainable healthy change in schools and have a proven, positive impact on student health.  This session will demonstrate how the Healthy Schools Program works and is making changes in schools across Missouri, as well as provide tools and resources for your school.
